Governance ENGINE ™

GovernanceENGINE™
  RiVidium’s Approach
RiVidium’s GovernanceEngine™ determines whether an architecture or systems’ development lifecycle adheres to standards. This Engine is driven by industry best-practices and policies. Deriving information from the Architecture, SOA or DataStrategy Engines, the GovernanceEngine generates deviation reports that facilitate bringing an architecture into compliance. Our engine is comprised of processes that allow IT portfolio managers to enter system architectures into a common repository. It then allows for an analysis effort to provide governance capability by using the base architecture as captured in the common repository to conduct an assessment of programs and systems.
Our flexible methodology for EA governance involves assessing compliance and alignment with an established enterprise architecture baseline. Results from the assessment and compliance efforts may be used as input into several other acquisition related processes like JCIDS or any other acquisition processes used across the Federal government.

Benefits
• Aligns IT portfolios with business objectives
• Facilitates adherence to key government mandates
  (e.g. Clinger-Cohen Act )
• Encourage re-use and cost avoidance
• Determines how IT investment decisions are made and prioritizes large-scale business process, infrastructure and cross-business application projects
