Systems Analyst
|
The Systems Analyst will support various systems architecture tasks for the Army
Sustainment Command (ASC). The Systems Analyst will provide analytical services
to the ASC functional team and the AMC architectural team as well as expert assessment
of projects, proposals, enterprise architecture alignment requests, technology or
service insertions and the like with respect to their consistency with existing
and planned systems or services. As well, the Systems Analyst will prepare documentation
to substantiate the ASC’s IT investments. This will include providing input to
program managers on which analyses of systems and technologies are made. He/she
will receive input from subordinates and other activities within programs and from
ASC Government sponsors. The Systems Analyst will also examine policy and procedural
documentation produced by the requiring activity and compare that with documentation
with ASC policies and doctrine. He/she will validate documentation for compliance
with ASC and HQ Department of the Army regulations and directives.
The Systems Analyst will facilitate reviews of actions during demonstrations and
will take notes to prepare after action reports and input to hot washes. He/she
will spend time on development and prototyping of ASC systems and travel to program
managers’ locations in order to provide assistance to modify development and prototyping
events or portions of the overall programs. Tasks will also entail facilitating
system-level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and software tools,
including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems.
He/she will identify alternatives for optimizing ASC’s computer resources.
Systems Analyst will support ASC by researching, planning, installing, configuring,
troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading hardware and software interfaces with
operating systems. This will include the analysis and evaluation of present or proposed
ASC business procedures or problems in order to define data processing needs.

Minimum Requirements:Bachelors Degree plus five years of related experience
such as:
- Experience conducting system configuration and interoperability analysis
- Experience developing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products
to include operational, system, and service views
- Experience federating system-level architectures to enterprise architecture entities
(e.g., Army Enterprise Architecture Reference Models, DoD Joint Capability Areas,
Federal Enterprise Architecture, etc.)
- Experience executing IT portfolio management analysis and the development of IT
portfolio management policies
